I also don't really understand why I could feel the difference despite the aforementioned 60hz monitor but well above 60hz FPS. I was just about to record a game myself and then the replay straight afterwards using OBS and make a thread and see if anyone had any ideas when I realised that during recording my FPS has boosted up to around ~300 and it felt as smooth as ever.
